VI Peel

What Is a VI Peel?

Discover the newest cosmetic skin peel that boasts no pain and great aesthetic results.

While we could search fruitlessly for the Fountain of Youth, there are obviously much easier ways to get that more youthful look without searching for a magic elixir! Dr. Mark L Civin, DDS, PA, your Palm Beach Garden dentist, understands how important healthy skin and a healthy smile are, and that’s why our goal is to make sure that you have all the treatment options possible to improve and enhance your look. The VI Peel offers a way to improve both the appearance and health of your skin without some of the other unpleasant side effects other chemical peels offer.

What is a VI Peel?

This chemical peel uses medical-grade ingredients that can improve the tone and texture of all skin types. A VI Peel is used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, freckles, age spots, enlarged pores, and pigmentation, while also activating the production of collagen to increase tightness in the skin.

How Many Peels Will I Need to Improve My Skin’s Appearance?

One VI Peel session from your dentist Palm Beach Gardens will give you a healthy, radiant glow while also repairing some of the damage caused by age, sun exposure, etc. It’s even a great option for someone looking for preventive skincare options, particularly those who are younger and don’t show signs of damage.

Patients, however, can opt to get this peel as often as every couple of weeks. For most patients, we recommend one peel every three months to protect against damage and signs of aging. However, how many peels you have will depend on your goals and the condition of your skin.

How Long Does It Take to Get a VI Peel?

The entire peel procedure takes only about 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

How Long Before I See Results?

The skin may appear darker or red right after treatment and for a couple of days after. Around the third day, the skin will begin to peel. However, the peeling is extremely light and can easily be concealed, if necessary. The peeling will usually stop by around the sixth or seventh day, at which time you will be able to see a drastic difference in your skin’s appearance.

Are there any side effects to getting a VI Peel?

You may experience some stinging when the chemical is applied to your skin, but it goes away rather quickly. Again, any peeling that you experience will be very light and nearly invisible to those around you.
